Visit the Vernon Community Arts Centre during First Friday on Friday, November 6, from 11 am to 3 pm! Meet David J. Lilly, a self-taught goldsmith and stained-glass artist, who will be demonstrating his jewellery-making process. Once discouraged at school from pursuing a creative career because of his colour-blindness, David has developed a distinctive body of work inspired by Brutalist and Mid-century Modern design. Working with precious, semi-precious, and non-precious materials, his jewellery has been exhibited internationally.
