DeAnna Josephson is an award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter and visual artist based in Vernon, B.C. Her body of work spans multiple mediums which include abstract oil landscape paintings, layered
floral photography, mixed media, graphic, video and sound design. DeAnna’s art process reflects an intuitive journey through complex emotions, revealing a narrative shaped by natural beauty and introspection. The abstract oil paintings use tonal shifts and gradients of light which captures vast, atmospheric landscapes, evoking a sense of both solitude and connection. DeAnna’s floral photography layers imagery of flora with original paintings and mixed media, creating intricate visual textures that highlight nature’s delicacy.
DeAnna now resides in Vernon with her young family which includes her twin boys, daughter and husband, songwriter Kris Anders. DeAnna also works for School District 22 in the ELCC division.
DeAnna is excited to open her studio for the First Friday Art Trail and may even offer scheduled home concerts.
