The focus of my work has always been on abstracts and landscapes, and abstracting the landscape. I have a great love for nature and being active
outdoors, and my work is a reflection of these experiences. Media often involves acrylics but can also include oils, charcoal, pencils, crayons…the list goes on.
Landscapes are about the land around me from Middleton Mountain and the Commonage, and out to the coast, mountains, and grasslands. As a prairie girl, I love big skies and wide open spaces. Many of my landscapes reflect this, and it is a direction I am drawn to explore ever more deeply.
Abstracts reflect what’s going on, inside me, and/or around me. Colour and life are exciting in this four season playground! My palettes, shapes and brushwork work together to convey what I am endeavouring to express. I hope you feel something when you see my paintings
